Vivid, manic, high-energy, heartbreaking, brilliant, gritty, joyous, glorious, buoyant, sweet, virtuosic, devastating, remarkable, fascinating, magnificent, spirited, worthy, accomplished, authentic, moving, striking. Extraordinary performances, gorgeous/rich/smooth/crisp cinematography, perfect/stunning/effective/beautiful/abrupt/tender finale, freeflowing narrative, minimal plot, storybook feel, brief burst of guerilla-style filmmaking; kids in the film seem untroubled by their disadvantaged situation.

  • CRITICS DON'T LIKE:

Vinaite's performance is a little grating/shrill/self-conscious at times.
