    Alien creatures are killed, a girl is killed by an alien creature. Mayday call from spacecraft damaged in asteroid storm. Spacecraft breaks up during re-entry. People get sucked out of spaceship; people, animals fall from great heights. An animal is struck with an object, baby birds are killed. A boy is dragged unconscious, chased by animals, attacked by animals and an alien creature, near-freezes, is thrown through the air, is gouged/slashed. A man describes a near-death experience (falls from a cliff, is pinned underwater, near-drowns, watches blood bubbling, removes animal pincer from shoulder). Debris. Footage of burning buildings, floodwaters. Yelling. Blood/gore: Human and animal corpses, animal body parts. Bodies seen impaled on tree branches.     Mildly entertaining, beautifully shot. Minimalist performance from Will Smith.


    Cheesy melodrama, generic plot, corny dialogue, unlikely plot elements, tedious. Weak performance from Jaden Smith, ordinary special effects.
