Characters are turned to stone, hit with magic green balls, zapped with blue lightning bolts, kicked, flipped, tripped, thrown through the air/to the ground, squashed by a giant cake, flicked with goo, pursued, captured, caged, near-crushed by rocks when falling down a canyon, lassoed, near-drowned, tied up, muzzled, poked, set alight, pushed over a balcony, smashed to pieces, picked up by a tornado, cannon-blasted through the air. Characters fall into rushing water, freefall from very high distances, transform into sea creatures. Energy bolts suck the power/energy from characters. Swordfighting. Explosion. Towers crushed, castle destroyed, village invaded/damaged, bridge collapse, table knocked over, ship hit in side with giant anchor. A balloon dog deflates as it is crushed. Mass panic, arguing, screaming. A character threatens to "clip their wings, scar them emotionally, tie them up and throw them overboard". Blood/gore: Giant animal skull with tusks, bird skull with beak, Jolly Roger flag. Characters are hit with splats of colour/pie that resemble blood (comic). A unicorn character has a broken horn that flickers blue sparks. Characters on fire (not graphic).

(None): When a characters says spots of goo will make your parts fall off an infected character grabs his crotch area. Bum-scratching.

(None): Name-calling (evil goons, cotton candy, con artists, crazy unicorn, etc).

My Little Pony, teamwork, friendship, adventure, trust, betrayal, surrender, takeover, escape, stealing, awesomeness, responsibility, kindness.

Ponies, bear, rabbit, birds, crocodile, hedgehog, mole, black beetle with many red eyes, meiolania (horned turtle), warthogs, cat, sea creatures, fish, lizards, octopus tentacles, bats, shark, vultures, parrots, seahorses, jellyfish, squid, turtles, unicorns, alicorns, pegasi, hippogriffs. Scary green eyes, large scary blimp/ships; scary creatures with frightening claws/manes/tails. Rainbow, waterfall, thunder, lightning, whirlpool, fireworks, hot air balloon, tornado, storm, giant black cloud. Coughing/spluttering/gasping for air.

Joyful, silly, colourful, delightful, magical, female-positive, star-packed, nostalgic, positive, fan-friendly, kid-friendly. Lively voice acting, committed performances, clean humour, cute pony puns, gentle-but-genuine scares, rich 2D animation, catchy soundtrack, retro vibe; a fair adaptation of the TV series.

Formulaic, predictable. Simple animation, would be best enjoyed by fans.

A short film preceding the film features fluffy creatures being thrown, hit with objects, chased by a giant moster with big scary teeth/one eye/mouth tentacles/horns/dragon's tail, swept away on a lava lake and drooled on. It also includes raspberry-blowing, a worm, rainbows, screaming, a creature falling over a cliff and themes of unlikely friendships and forgiveness.
