Characters are shot with tranquiliser darts, captured/held in tanks, near-crushed, pursued, thrown through the air/to the ground/out of vehicles, ridiculed, grabbed, dragged, pushed, slapped, slammed against truck, splashed with paint, doused in poison, experimented upon, squirted with water, elbowed, near-drowned, arrested. Oil pipes burst causing explosions. A man dangles precariously over a high cliff edge. Reckless driving, vehicles sideswiped/shunted/rammed, vehicle rollovers/spinouts/collisions/flip, vehicles shot at. A truck drives over vehicles, a truck smashes through a trailer, a truck crashes into vehicles/objects, a truck rams another vehicle causing it to drive over a cliff. Crushed/crushing vehicles, holes in vehicles, wrecked cars, vehicles hit with objects/kicked. Conspirators plan to poison a nest of creatures. A creature breaks through a windscreen to attack a driver. A vehicle and driver fall into a drop. Burning road (flare). Objects thrown/knocked over/thumped with fists. A teen boy plays a violent video game in the background (characters seen shooting/getting shot/possible blood spatter). Creaking/roaring sounds, screaming. A girl says she might die here (referring to a hopeless future), she might get abducted walking home. POWs, Stockholm Syndrome, falsifying environmental protection reports, lying to the media, going to prison mentioned. Blood/gore: None. Man in wheelchair.

Flirting, handholding, hugging. Cleavage, skimpy clothing, top of butt crack. A young man fantasises taking an imaginary hitchhiker and her imaginary sisters to Coachella.

A creature is shot with tranquiliser darts/sedated. Alcohol (spirits).

What the..? What the heck? Oh my gosh. Dump. Name-calling (go-getter, vandals, squishy piece of squish, smelly, land squid, blob, mucous twins, slugs, things, slimebag, etc). Religious exclamations (God).

Monsters, new animal species, family, betrayal, auto mechanics, vehicle modifications, hive intelligence, unlikely friendships, oil drilling, evil corporations, biology, tutoring, bioluminescence, train-dodging.

Estranged father/husband. Vehicle repossessed. Creatures with slimy skin, tentacles, sharp teeth, big eyes, etc. Dogs, horse, pigeons, horned lizards. Cat photos. Burping, vomiting.

Fast-paced, fun, high-concept, innocuous, goofy, ridiculous, perky, energetic, chaotic, childish, cute, good-natured, simple, safe, gleeful. Family friendly, inventive/entertaining chase sequences, fun/hilarious/enjoyable moments from Rob Lowe and Thomas Lennon, strong/simmering chemistry between Lucas Till and Jane Levy; will please its young/undiscerning target audience, has throwback charm.

Tone-deaf, clunky, nonsensical, lame, recycled, hackneyed, silly. Bland direction, sub-par animation/action, significant product placement, equally promotes gas-guzzling SUVs and environmental protection issues.
